Former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Kelee Ringo will forever be remembered for his pick six in Georgia's 2021 national championship win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. Following his Georgia career, the Philadelphia Eagles drafted Ringo in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ringo is entering his fourth NFL season and has played in 17 games in each of his first three NFL seasons. Despite the consistent game action, he has started only eight NFL games. Ringo has been a fixture on the Eagles' special teams, but has never played more than 30% of the Eagles' defensive snaps in a season.

Glenn Erby of Eagles Wire names Ringo as an Eagles player that could be on the roster bubble entering the preseason. Erby thinks Ringo needs a strong preseason to guarantee his role with Philadelphia.

Erby points out that Ringo's "talent is obvious, but the cornerback room is crowded" for Philadelphia. Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean and Riq Woolen are all expected to start for Philadelphia at cornerback. Ringo has to compete with numerous other depth players in order to preserve his roster spot with the Eagles.

"Ringo has size, athleticism, and developmental upside," Erby added. "Those traits still matter, but the Eagles need consistency. They need him to tackle, avoid penalties, handle deep coverage assignments, and continue to excel and contribute on special teams."

Ultimately, Ringo's special teams role makes us think he'll make the Eagles' roster over other NFL veterans such as Jonathan Jones and Michael Carter II. Ringo definitely has something to prove entering his fourth NFL season, which is also a contract year. He'll have to beat several experienced NFL players to keep his role.
