With the calendar flipping to July, the NBA's Summer Leagues are well underway. This year, a few teams will play in California before heading to Utah. That will serve as a warm-up to the real thing when the league descends on Las Vegas for a multi-week event.

For some former UNC basketball players, it's a chance to impress teams and earn a spot on the roster or earn more playing time. That's the case for former UNC center Jalen Washington.

After spending his first three seasons at North Carolina, Washington closed out his college career at Vanderbilt. He went undrafted, but as Summer League approaches, he will try to earn a roster spot with the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls released their Summer League roster and it included Washington, who will play alongside fellow rookie Caleb Wilson out of North Carolina:

In his three years at UNC, Washington averaged 4.2 points snd 2.9 rebounds per game in a limited role. But at Vanderbilt, he averaged 8.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Washington had a bigger role with Vanderbilt, and it showed in terms of his stat line.
