Back-row Barnaby Elderkin will re-join Cornish Pirates for the 2026-27 Champ season.

The 21-year-old joined the club in December 2024 but left a year later to move to Australia, having played 10 times.

But, now, the younger brother of Pirates' fly-half Joe has returned to the United Kingdom and agreed a deal to link back up with his former club.

"We saw some real growth in his game during last pre-season and the front end of the season," Pirates joint-head coach Gavin Cattle said.

"He has natural rugby instinct, he's athletic and is hungry to progress.

"It's great to see another young Cornish talent coming through the ranks – we are excited to see where his journey goes."
