Four Blue Devils earn Phil Steele preseason honors
Four Duke Devil football players made Phil Steele’s Preseason All-American and All-ACC teams, according to an announcement by the organization.
Duke’s lone All-America selection was punter Kade Reynoldson, who earned All-American Second Team honors after recording 44.61 yards per punt last season, good for the eighth-highest punting average in a season in Duke history.

Tight end Jeremiah Hasley earned First Team All-ACC honors after hauling in 454 receiving yards last season. That mark ranked him 22nd nationally and third in the conference.
Running back Nate Sheppard earned an All-ACC Second Team nod after being named to the Second Team All-ACC after his freshman season last year. The sophomore out of Mandeville, Louisiana, is one of only three returning backs in the conference to have rushed for 10 or more touchdowns in 2025.
Duke’s final nod went to center Matt Craycraft, who was named to the Third Team.

The Dallas, Texas native was one of five recipients of the team’s Duke Tough Award, which is presented to the football student-athlete who “personifies the physical and mental toughness required to be a Blue Devil.”
These preseason recognitions for the defending ACC Champions add a steady boost as Duke begins preparations for a title defense.
