France into World Cup semi-finals

The French national team, featuring Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano, are through to the final four at the World Cup after seeingoff Morocco 2-0 in Boston, USA in the quarter-finals on Thursday evening. Following a goalless first half, France took the lead on the hour mark through Kylian Mbappé, who had earlier missed a penalty in the first period. Six minutes later, Ousmane Dembelé sealed a deserved win for the dominant French, who had 22 attempts on goal to Morocco's five.

Upamecano and Olise both played the full 90 minutes for Didier Deschamps' side, but Bayern new signing Ismael Saibari didn't feature for the Moroccans.
