French police fire tear gas at migrants on beach

French police have used tear gas to disperse migrants attempting to cross the English Channel to Britain from France’s northern coast. In a separate incident, three people, including a child, died attempting the crossing after an overcrowded dinghy carrying 105 people ran into trouble.
