The FSU Seminoles need a commitment from an offensive lineman in the 2027 cycle. They have an opportunity to land three-star DaJohn Yarborough on Saturday. He'll be choosing between the Washington Huskies, Mississippi State Bulldogs, California Bears, and Florida State.

With his decision on the horizon, Yarborough is still thinking things over. However, there's a sense that FSU is one of the two schools that lead things heading into the decision, per Matt LaSerre of Warchant.

Sources close to the Arizona standout have shared similar messages with Warchant, saying only that they are still “ironing” out details for the decision.

As of now, I am getting the sense that this is a Florida State-Cal battle, with sources indicating that the Golden Bears have the edge at this point.

Yarborough is the No. 442 overall recruit and the No. 33 interior offensive lineman per Rivals industry rankings. He's also ranked as the No. 10 prospect in Arizona.

This is a key recruitment for Florida State in multiple ways. Yes, they need a pledge from an offensive lineman; that's a given. It is also paramount that offensive line coach Herb Hand start to establish himself as a recruiter. He's done great things in the transfer portal, but he needs to start getting some premium high school recruits.

FSU has done a great job of closing recruitments since the start of June. Yarborough needs to be the next name added to that list.
