The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from former Florida Gators pitcher Cooper Walls via the transfer portal. Walls struggled immensely throughout his time with the Gators, and the right-hander now finds himself with a fresh start and will look to bounce back in Athens next season.

Standing at 6-foot-5, Walls is a talented flamethrower despite struggling as a Gator in 2026. The pitcher held a 7.17 ERA throughout 17 total appearances, but Walls could bounce back at Georgia next year. Walls held an overall record of 3-3 and surrendered 53 total hits this season as the right-hander now finds himself heading to one of Florida's biggest rivals.

Walls was named as the Big West freshman pitcher of the year in 2025 during his time at Hawaii. The talented pitcher held a 3.73 ERA while recording 45 total strikeouts throughout his freshman campaign, and a fresh start in Athens could be exactly what the flamethrower needs in order to get back on track.

Walls is the second pitcher to announce their commitment to Georgia this offseason. Former Long Beach State pitcher Luke Howe recently committed to UGA as well, as the Dawgs continue to reload in the portal following a historic season in 2026.
