Georgia Southern football opens season with first shutout since 2023

STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — Georgia Southern football opened its 2026 campaign with a 31-0 shutout over Charleston Southern at Paulson Stadium on Saturday.

The victory also marked the first shutout for Georgia Southern since 2023, which also came in the first game of the season at home.
