It’s time to start preparing for the 2026 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 3 of the Fran Brown Era.

Position: Linebacker

Year: Redshirt freshman

Weight: 230 lbs.

Hometown: Ashburn, VA

High School/Previous College: Briar Woods High School

2025 stats: Appeared in four games (redshirted rest of the season)

2026 projections: Dudley will likely continue getting reps on special teams. As for defense, there’s a chance he could get some action (at least more than in 2025), but I think it comes more as a second-string/depth linebacker.

How’d he get here?: Flipped his commitment to the Orange in November 2024 after initially committing as a running back to James Madison. Also had offers from UMass, Old Dominion, Marshall, Temple, and East Carolina.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Ashburn is also the hometown of NFL veteran Jonathan Allen, former Chicago Bears offensive lineman Nate Davis, and USWNT player Emily Fox.
