Jackson was a second-round pick out of South Carolina in 2023, and he was initially signed on a two-way contract. But he quickly earned significant playing time because of the Grizzlies' injury crisis during the 2023-24 season, and Memphis signed him to a four-year standard contract during the season. Jackson averaged 14.6 points per game during his rookie season and earned second-team NBA All-Rookie honors.

He played sparingly the next season as he battled injuries, then found himself out of the rotation at the beginning of the 2025-26 season before another Grizzlies injury crisis led to Jackson getting more playing time. He averaged 12.5 points per game last season.

Prosper was a first-round pick out of Marquette who started his career with the Dallas Mavericks and signed with the Grizzlies on a two-way deal ahead of the 2025-26 season. He also got his contract converted to a standard deal during the season. Prosper averaged 10 points per game last season.
