Guirassy fires Guinea to victory

Waldemar Anton was able to celebrate a successful evening with the German national team. The BVB defender played the full 90 minutes in Thursday evening's Nations League clash with Serbia in Munich and did his part in Germany's 2-0 win. Anton operated on the left side of central defence in a back four and impressed with some strong tackling. Together with his teammates, the Dortmund man kept the Serbian attack at bay for the full match in his 16th international appearance and was able to enjoy a clean sheet at the end.
Meanwhile, Carney Chukwuemeka made his first start for the Austrian national team. In his tenth international appearance for Austria, the BVB midfielder started in central midfield away to Ireland. However, the ÖFB side went into half-time trailing 2-0. After the break, Austria improved and managed to fight back for a 2-2 draw. Chukwuemeka was substituted at half-time and watched the comeback from the bench.
