Horseheads girls soccer rolls past Ithaca, Hornell stays perfect

HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WETM) - High school soccer took over the Twin Tiers for a major slate of mid-week games.

Horseheads, Waverly, and Hornell girls soccer highlighted a busy soccer schedule, with Tuesday night victories. The Blue Raiders carried their #20 ranking in the state to a dominant 6-2 win over Ithaca. Horseheads' 5th-straight victory came with a pair of 1st half goals by Ashley Giammichele, as well as another by Sammie Bonnell. HHS pulled further away in the 2nd half, countering 2 Lil 'Red tallies with goals by Sydney Blunt, Maggie Tremaine, and Maddie Ribble.
