How are the Commonwealth Games funded?

The 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are set to cost approximately £150m to put on.

About £100m of that money is funded privately by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), with the remainder coming from a range of commercial revenues such as ticket sales, broadcast rights, commercial sponsorship and merchandise.
