The Celtics changed the course of their franchise Wednesday, sending the longest-tenured player on the team in Jaylen Brown to the Sixers. It was a stunning blockbuster move that ends Brown's 10-year tenure in Boston as he heads to a division rival going forward.

There's plenty of controversy that will come from the trade going forward. The Celtics were once in Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors with Brown as the centerpiece of the deal. Instead, the C's traded for a 36-year-old Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks. That's a far cry after being in the hunt for a two-time MVP.
