Skylar Diggins scored 18 of her game-high 24 points in the first half for the Sky while Asura Stevens contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds. Natasha Cloud also dropped 13 points to go with five assists.

The Tempo dropped their first Commissioner’s Cup game on Wednesday night, absorbing a 97-82 road loss to the New York Liberty. Marina Mabrey and Brittney Sykes scored 17 points apiece in the loss, with Nyara Sabally adding 11 points and six rebounds.

Toronto beat the Sky 111-104 in Chicago on May 27 in the first meeting between the teams. Sykes averages 19.6 points for the expansion Tempo, with Mabrey netting 18.5 points per game and Sabally getting 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds a night. Diggins paces Chicago with averages of 15.2 points and 4.9 assists while Kamilla Cardoso books 12.5 points and 9.8 boards a night.
