Huijsen, Cucurella make Spain’s squad list

Real Madrid defenders Dean Huijsen and Marc Cucurella made Luis de la Fuente's list for the upcoming FIFA break, where the Spanish national team will face England, Croatia (twice) and Czech Republic.

Huijsen's return is notable, given that he wasn't included in Spain's list for the FIFA World Cup. However, the young defender has been playing at a very high level since the 2026-27 season started, so his presence in this current list makes sense for Spain.
