Indian activist to continue hunger strike after protesters, police clash

Indian police on July 20 struck students protesting for education reforms with batons and fired tear gas shells in New Delhi. Thousands of young demonstrators demanded the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over question paper leaks that affected more than 2 million students and led to some dying by suicide.
