Iraq celebrates National Sovereignty Day as US troops withdraw

Iraq’s security forces held parades in Baghdad and Najaf to celebrate ‘Sovereignty Day’, a national holiday marking the withdrawal of US troops from the country. The remaining soldiers left the country on Wednesday, ending the US-led coalition’s operation against ISIL.
