To clinch a second semifinal appearance, Morocco is tasked with taking down a star-heavy France squad in the quarterfinals at Boston Stadium on Thursday, July 9 at 4 p.m.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementStar right back Achraf Hakimi has suited up in all five of Morocco's matches in the World Cup despite a pending rape trial, which stems from an alleged assault in 2023 in France. Hakimi, 27, strongly denies the allegations and, although no date is currently set for him to stand trial, the PSG defender "is looking forward to it," he wrote in a social media post on June 19.
Hakimi will most likely be in the starting XI vs. France.
