Jalen Brunson responds to LeBron James’ recent praise

LeBron James' praise for Jalen Brunson carries extra weight after the Knicks' historic 2026 championship run. James revealed he once envisioned finishing his career at Madison Square Garden before New York won the title. He singled out Brunson while explaining his decision to join Philadelphia.

Giannis Antetokounmpo also praised Brunson during his own Miami Heat media availability. Brunson responded with appreciation without treating the attention as an endpoint. His comments fit the mindset that has defined his rise. After leading the Knicks to their first championship since 1973, Brunson enters a new season with league-wide respect and a demanding standard.
