Jedd Fisch Praises Washington Football Freshman WR's Composure

When Trez Davis committed to Washington in December 2025, it was one of Jedd Fisch's biggest wins on the recruiting trail with the Huskies. Fisch went well outside Washington's traditional recruiting footprint to land the Louisiana native after he decommitted from Tulane just a few weeks before pledging to position coach Kevin Cummings, making him one of 13 blue-chip recruits in the program's historic 2026 class.

Despite his elite skill set and athleticism, Davis was going to be hard-pressed to find playing time as a freshman due to the depth at the position. Washington was returning Dezmen Roebuck, Chris Lawson, and Rashid Williams, while also bringing in transfer Christian Moss from Kennesaw State and fellow four-star freshmen Jordan Clay and Mason James. That's seven receivers, including Davis, vying for just three spots. Not an easy task for an 18-year-old.
