The New York Jets have added to their wide receiver room this offseason.

The Jets announced that they have signed undrafted wide receiver Jalen Walthall.

In a corresponding move, the Jets have waived/injured wide receiver Quentin Skinner.

Walhall comes into New York after he signed with the Houston Texans in early May. That didn't last long, and he will now join his second organization before the start of his rookie season.

The 23-year-old played his college ball at Hawaii and later transferred to the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. As a Cardinal, Walhall recorded 155 receptions for 2,137 yards (13.8 per), and 22 touchdowns. He had 9 games with 100-plus receiving yards.

In his final season at Incarnate Word, Walhall was named to the first-team All-Southland Conference and ranked fourth in the FCS with seven receptions per game and 10th with 84.7 receiving yards per game.

Jets part ways with undrafted receiver after one season

As for who the Jets lost, Skinner was with the Jets organization for the 2025 season. New York added him as an undrafted free agent and signed onto the practice squad in August.

Skinner appeared in one game for the Jets last season and had a 2-point conversion against the Bills in Week 18. In that same contest, he recorded one reception for 10 yards.

Prior to his time in the NFL, Skinner played his collegiate ball at Kansas. In his time there, he recorded 585 receiving yards, averaging 19.8 per catch and 11 touchdowns. In his final season as a Jayhawk, Skinner caught 24 passes for 557 yards and found the end zone three times.

The Jets' wide receiver room currently consists of Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell, Omar Cooper Jr., Tim Patrick and Isaiah Williams, to name a few.
