Karate Combat GOAT? Alvey Upsets Hall For Successful Title Defense

Former UFC Middleweights Sam Alvey vs. Uriah Hall squared off earlier tonight (Fri., July 24, 2026) from inside the KC Apex in Miami, Florida for Karate Combat 62. In a fun fight, Alvey emerged victorious.

Though Alvey lost his most recent appearance — a brutal Heavyweight title fight versus Robelis Despaigne — "Smile'n Sam" remained the 205-pound champion heading into the event. Hall, meanwhile, built up a 2-0 Karate Combat record ahead of his first title fight, defeating UFC vet Markus Perez and stopping Jayden Eynaud with a spinning back kick.
