The New England Patriots will hold their mandatory minicamp this coming week, and Kayshon Boutte will be among the participants. After deciding to spend the voluntary portion of offseason workouts away from Foxborough and the rest of the team, the fourth-year wide receiver has confirmed that he will make his spring debut on Tuesday.

“Yes, sir,” Boutte told WBZ’s Aaron Parseghian when asked whether or not he would partake in minicamp.

The Patriots are scheduled to practice three times this week, with one session each set to take place between Tuesday and Thursday. Minicamp will mark the first and only portion of offseason workouts that will, as the full name suggests, be mandatory.

This also applies to Boutte, who has been the subject of trade speculation for a second straight year and who is reportedly “interested” in getting traded. Talking to WBZ, the 24-year-old was asked about the rumors, but he refrained from giving any concrete insight into his state of mind.

“I try not to buy into it,” he explained. “At the end of the day, I can only control what I can control. As long as I’m doing what I’m supposed to do off the field, everything else will play out.”

A sixth-round draft pick out of LSU in 2023, Boutte has been one of the Patriots’ most reliable pass catchers over the last two seasons. Showing some solid chemistry with quarterback Drake Maye, he finished the 2025 season with 787 snaps in 18 games as well as 42 catches, 719 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Boutte is entering the final year of his rookie contract as part of a revamped wide receiver group. While the Patriots decided to part ways with their leading receiver from a year ago, Stefon Diggs, they also signed Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $68 million free agency deal and recently acquired three-time All-Pro A.J. Brown in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.
