Kentucky Football picked up its second commitment of the day on Sunday as class of 2027 linebacker Drew Williams announced his pledge to the Wildcats following an official visit to Lexington.

Williams, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker from Canton, Georgia, chose Kentucky over a final four that included Florida, Oregon, and Miami. He also held offers from several other major programs, including Tennessee, Texas A&M, and UCF.

The talented defender is ranked as the No. 847 overall prospect nationally and is considered one of the top linebackers in the 2027 class. Williams first visited Kentucky during Junior Day in January, where he received an offer from the Wildcats. Since then, Kentucky’s coaching staff continued to build a strong relationship with the Georgia native, culminating in his official visit this weekend and eventual commitment.

Williams’ pledge came just hours after Kentucky landed another major recruiting victory when class of 2027 four-star defensive lineman Malachi Brown committed to the Wildcats. The Corbin, Kentucky native stands 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds and is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the Bluegrass State.

The addition of Williams gives Kentucky 20 commitments in its 2027 recruiting class, which continues to climb the national rankings under head coach Will Stein and his staff.
