Good morning BBN!

Will Stein took the stage in Tampa on Monday as SEC Media Days kicked off, and the start of football is right around the corner.

With plenty of excitement building around Lexington and the country for the first-year head coach, he made national headlines with one quote that should get this fanbase fired up. But another one should catch the eyes of the fans and Coach Stein’s love for this program.

“I’m thrilled to represent Big Blue Nation as head football coach. As a Kentucky native, a kid growing up going to Commonwealth Stadium to watch the Cats, this is truly a dream come true to me. I am BBN. For 18 years of my life growing up, I was a member of Big Blue Nation. My dad played at Kentucky, my mom is a graduate. To come back to the Bluegrass State, being a fan of Kentucky football and athletics, is truly surreal.”

When you think about building programs to the top, it really takes an elite coach. The book is still out on how good of a head coach Stein can be, but similar to Mark Pope and the Basketball team, the football program has someone in charge who is one of us. A member of BBN, and with that, if he wins, it will be even more special because of that.
