McKinney (18-8 MMA, 8-5 UFC) got back in the win column in March with a 24-second finish of Kyle Nelson to kick off his year. In 2025, McKinney went 2-1, including a pair of first-round finishes against Damir Hadzovic and Viacheslav Borshchev.

I liked Green in this fight before the weigh-ins, and I like him even more now after seeing how rough McKinney looked on the scale.

Don't get me wrong: McKinney is a round one merchant who, despite learning nothing from his wins, could replicate some of Green's past defeats.

That said, I suspect that Green survives the storm and can force a stoppage via strikes by the beginning of Round 2.
