Any explosion sounds heard were the result of interceptions, the military said in a statement on X on Thursday evening, urging the public to follow safety and civil defence instructions.
The Tasnim news agency, which is close to Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported that the target was a military base also used by the US Air Force.

Kuwait is among the Gulf states most affected by Iranian counter-attacks in recent times, as the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Jordan noted in a joint statement on Thursday.
The seven countries condemned the Iranian strikes, which they said had also targeted civilians and civil infrastructure such as water desalination plants and airports.
The GCC comprises Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
