Levantine National Council concludes communication training program in Daramsuq

DARAMSUQ (Damascus) — The Levantine National Council (LNC) has concluded a three-day training program focused on communication skills and interpersonal development.

The workshop, titled “Let’s Communicate Effectively,” was held at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in al-Ghassani, bringing together LNC members and participants interested in enhancing their communication abilities through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises.

The program was led by international trainer Kristina Keshar and focused on providing participants with practical tools to improve communication in professional and social environments. The sessions addressed active listening, effective questioning, constructive dialogue, managing reactions, and recognizing behavioral patterns that can influence interactions.

The final day of the training featured interactive discussions on the importance of active listening, the role of effective questions in strengthening dialogue, and strategies for transforming immediate reactions into more thoughtful responses. Participants also explored the concept of behavioral “blind spots” through an educational video that encouraged reflection and discussion.

The training was launched with an opening session that began with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by remarks from LNC President Dr. Waddah al-Khoury, who highlighted the importance of investing in capacity building and described communication skills as an essential element in strengthening social cohesion. He also thanked the trainer and participants, reaffirming the council’s commitment to organizing programs that address community needs.

Keshar expressed appreciation for conducting the training in Daramsuq, praising participants’ engagement and interest in developing their personal and professional skills. The three-day program also covered topics including multitasking, body language, public speaking techniques, and methods for improving communication in everyday and workplace settings.

The program concluded with a certificate ceremony honoring participants for their commitment and active participation throughout the training.

The Levantine National Council said the initiative reflects its broader efforts to support community development by equipping individuals with practical skills that contribute to stronger collaboration, leadership, and social engagement.
