LIV Delays Michigan Announcement Amid Investor Talks

LIV Golf will not make any official announcement this week about the status of next month's team championship despite increasing uncertainty around the $40 million season finale, sources familiar with the league's thinking told Front Office Sports.

Currently, LIV Golf Michigan remains scheduled for Aug. 27–30 in suburban Detroit at The Cardinal at Saint John's Resort. But sources have told FOS and multiple other outlets that the event will be canceled. There has been no tournament infrastructure or fan hospitality built out yet at The Cardinal, which also hosted last year's LIV team championship.
