LSU soccer splits final non-conference games

LSU soccer has finished non-conference play after two games in the past four days. Thursday, the Tigers lost 2-0 at home to #22 Baylor, and Sunday, the Tigers won 3-2 at Miami (OH). The Tigers finish non-conference play 2-5-1.

Thursday's 2-0 loss saw the Tigers outshoot the Bears 11-9 and put up three shots on target to their two. Baylor saved all three of LSU's shots on target, while Baylor buried both of theirs in the net. Grace White got the scoring started in the 35th minute with a perfect header in the top left corner of the net assisted by Sydney Miller's cross into the box. In the 79th minute, Olivia Hess got a ball forward to Kate Runyon, and she passed it to Thresa McCollough's waiting foot to bury it into the net to make it 2-0.
