Lugnuts hold off Loons 8-7, win series

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Lansing Lugnuts withstood a late comeback attempt by the Great Lakes Loons on Sunday, earning an 8-7 win to take four out of six games in the series.

The Loons jumped ahead in the early stages, aided by a big afternoon from Chuck Davalan. Davalan hit an RBI triple in the second and added a solo home run in the fourth. He'd finish the day 3-for-5 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.
