Marlins at Diamondbacks live updates. Jesus Sanchez arrives

Outfielder Jesus Sanchez officially was added to the Diamondbacks roster on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and immediately was inserted into manager Torey Lovullo's starting lineup. Sanchez will bat seventh and serve as the designated hitter.

Sanchez, who was claimed off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, Sept. 14, spent part of his first day with his new team visiting with some of his former teammates. Sanchez broke into the majors with the Diamondbacks' opponent this week, the Miami Marlins, but he was traded to Houston midway through last season. The Astros dealt him to the Blue Jays in the offseason.
