Matt Conte, top transfer portal catcher, commits to Vanderbilt baseball

Vanderbilt baseball added one of the top catchers in the transfer portal as Wake Forest's Matt Conte announced his commitment on social media July 2.

A sophomore in 2026, Conte hit .274 with 12 doubles, two triples and 12 home runs while starting 35 games at catcher and 24 at designated hitter.
