Metro Detroit Weather: Extreme Heat Warning in effect until Thursday

A few more showers linger into early Monday morning, especially south and east of Detroit. Showers wrap up by 9 a.m. and skies gradually be come sunny by the late morning. Skies stay sunny as high pressure builds in from the west, with high temperatures climbing into the low 80s by the afternoon.High pressure will keep us dry Tuesday and Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. It's still going to be warm and humid, but cooler than last week. High temperatures climb into the mid to upper 80s, with dew points in the upper 60s, and lows fall into the mid to upper 60s each night.Rain and storm chances return Thursday and continue into Friday, but drier weather is likely by next weekend.
