Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm was ejected to end the sixth inning during the Yankees’ 5-4 loss to the Boston Red Sox Sunday night after arguing that home plate umpire Adam Hamari should’ve consulted with the third base umpire on a check swing third strike.

Chisholm tossed his helmet in disgust after getting tossed.

To compound the situation, Chisholm did not meet with the media post-game to discuss the incident, which prompted Michael Kay to call it a “really bad look” on his ESPN New York radio program on Monday.

Anthony Rizzo, a former teammate of Chisholm’s, also had some choice words on NBC.

Rizzo said it “shows a little bit of immaturity” for Chisholm Jr. to get ejected.

“You just have to be smarter there,” Rizzo said during NBC’s broadcast on Peacock. “Jazz is such a big part of this offense and they need to get him going and to get ejected there…it shows a little bit of immaturity there.

“The team’s scuffling, they need him in the lineup, and now he puts [Anthony] Volpe in a tough position coming in completely cold.”

Chisholm now owns a 223/.306/.399 slash line with 12 homers and 24 stolen bases through 80 games after saying in spring training he could have a 50/50 season.

He’s still on base for 28 homers and 45 stolen bases, Kay pointed out.

It’s been quite the week for Chisholm who was called out by manager Aaron Boone for having a lollipop in his mouth while playing defense.

Boone said on the “Talkin’ Yankees” podcast the incident “pisses me off.”

Chisholm promised not to do it again, but he didn’t agree with Boone’s entire message.

“I don’t think it’s a bad look,” he said. “I’m playing a game, a kid’s game. I’m having fun.”
