Michigan State baseball is on the board, gaining a much-needed transfer portal addition to add to their 2027 roster. The Spartans did not have to look far for this addition, getting a local product to make his decision to stay in his home state.

Tristan Crane, a Berkley (MI) native, has committed to Michigan State. He comes from Eastern Michigan, where he spent his sophomore season after transferring from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He prepped at Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills.

At Eastern Michigan this past season, Crane hit .306, while sporting an .810 OPS. In his freshman year with TAMU-CC, he went 7-for-32 at the plate. He brings strong versatility to the plate as a switch hitter.

Bringing positional versatility, Crane will most likely project to be an infielder at Michigan State.
