Milan are ready to step up their pursuit of Gerard Martin, but they face competition from Chelsea for the Barcelona defender.

According to El Nacional, via MilanNews.it, both the Rossoneri and the Premier League side are keen on Martin, with the club prepared to raise their offer significantly to get a deal done.

Where the Italians had initially tabled a proposal worth €20m, they are now willing to go as high as €35m to land the Spaniard.
