Monaco’s Pape Cabral rejects Al-Ahli move

Pape Cabral (19) has rejected the chance to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, as per a report from Sacha Tavolieri.

Cabral extended his contract at formative club AS Monaco over the summer and he was touted as a potential breakthrough star this season. However, he has yet to come on for Filipe Luís' side and then, ahead of Friday night's game against Paris Saint-Germain, he was heavily linked with a move to the Gulf. Having failed to sell sufficiently so far, the Principality club are still looking to raise funds. Whilst Cabral is not on large wages, a deal worth potentially over €10m was being discussed with Al-Ahli.
