  • In case you missed it over the weekend, the Huskies got a commitment from yet another blue chip wide receiver for the 2027 recruiting class. The Dawgs landed Dontay Tyson, a 6’1” track star from Peoria, AZ. Tyson joins three other four-star receivers with the size and strength that makes it easy to dream about the other-worldly corps of Rome Odunze, Jalen McMillan, and Ja’Lynn Polk.

  • Christian Caple goes in depth on the most recent financial reports from the UW Athletic Department. The Huskies remain in the red and have to take out loans from main campus and advances on future media rights payments. To an extent, these growing pains were an anticipated part of joining the Big 10 with a reduced share of the media rights, but it will be important to continue to find ways to bring in a sustainable level of revenue.

  • Husky coaches hosted more official visitors over the weekend, hoping to add more top recruits to a class that is shaping up very well. Dawgman reports on the visit for Jaden Walk-Green, a four-star safety prospect from Corona, CA. Walk-Green has long been considered a Husky lean and would be a great fit in the secondary.

  • The Huskies got some press in the national media via Chris Vanini of The Athletic. His piece recounts the Demond Williams (non)-transfer saga over the winter and was has happened since. The common feeling among most involved seems to be that Williams is saying and doing the right things, although maybe not often enough or loudly enough. As Brock Huard said to Vanini, the salve for the hard feelings will have to be in the form of wins against top opponents.
