The Texas Spine & Joint Men’s Championships quarterfinals were contested Friday in Tyler, Texas. Former Vol Adam Walton is the tournament’s No. 1 seed.
He defeated Timo Legout, 6-2, 6-2, on Friday at Center Court.

Walton totaled three aces, two double faults, a 67 first serve percentage, 5-of-10 break points, 54 points won, 12 games won and 30 service points won.
The former Vol will next face No. 3 seed Liam Draxl in the semifinals on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. EDT at Center Court.
Walton also defeated Tung-Lin Wu, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-1, on Wednesday in the Round of the 32 and Andres Martin, 6-2, 6-2, in the Round of 16 on Thursday.
Walton played at Tennessee from 2017-22 under head coach Chris Woodruff, compiling a 124-25 singles and 101-47 doubles record. He was an All-SEC player and earned All-America honors in both singles and doubles competition.

In 2022, he combined with Pat Harper to win a doubles national championship.
Walton is from Home Hill, Australia. He earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in May 2021 and completed a master's degree in management and human resources in May 2022.
