Notre Dame 2026 Player Profile: Offensive Lineman Christopher Terek
Notre Dame has one of the most talented and deepest offensive line rooms in the country. There's several members of the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes that add to the overall depth of the room and redshirt junior Christopher Terek is one of those big-bodied interior players that adds significant depth to the room. The Illinois native has played in multiple games over the last two seasons and has carved out a role on special teams. This year, Terek looks to cement his role in the two deep with some talented underclassman looking to make a push during fall camp.

2025 SEASON IN REVIEW
Terek played in six games last fall for the Irish and totaled 80 offensive snaps, a career high. The 6-5, 321-pound offensive guard played against Purdue, Arkansas on the road, NC State, Navy, Syracuse on Senior Day and Stanford on the road to end the regular season. He played 20 offensive snaps against the Boilermakers in their second home game of the season. The season prior, Terek played 78 offensive snaps but appeared in more games on the year. He's also played a valuable role on special teams the last two seasons playing in all 12 regular season games in 2025 and 13 games in 2024 including all four playoff games.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Illinois native has his work cut out for him heading into fall camp. Notre Dame has brought in some extremely talented offensive lineman the last two recruiting cycles. Left tackle Will Black is stepping into the starting lineup this season while fellow 2025 recruit Matty Augustine is carving out a role in the two-deep as the 'next man in' at multiple spots. There's also several true freshman in the '26 class that will look to make a push. Terek has been a backup on Notre Dame's offensive line the last two seasons, but previous injury issues and consistency has prevented him from competing for a starting role. This fall camp will be crucial for Terek to cement himself as one of the go-to back up guards to replace one of Anthonie Knapp or Sullivan Absher in case of injury.
I fully expect Terek to battle for his spot on the two deep on Notre Dame's offensive line. He's a more than capable football player that can be productive at this level, but the level of talent surrounding him is exceptional and very deep. Terek was a former four-star recruit by Rivals in the 2023 class and a Top 250 recruit. The Illinois native will battle throughout the remainder of the offseason and into the regular season to maintain his spot on the depth chart.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementI also fully expect the 6-5, 321-pound lineman to resume his role on Marty Biagi's special teams units. He's been a starter on the place kicking and field goal units the last two years. I fully expect Terek to maintain his role on special teams this season and play in the second half of several games this season. It's going to be tough for him to get into many games, barring injury, in meaningful minutes, but Terek will continue getting opportunities on the field.
A GOOD SEASON FOR TEREK WOULD BE ....
One where he maintains his spot on the two-deep and continues being a starter on the place kicking and field goal unit. To some, maintaining your role as a back up offensive lineman might not be impressive, but given the exceptional young talent in the room, holding onto your spot in this room is earned, not given. If Terek plays in the waning moments of games, continues to start on special teams and stays ready if and when his number is called, that's a good season for the Illinois native.
