Official: Valencia name new manager

La Liga outfit Valencia have on Wednesday announced the identity of the club's new head coach. The tactician chosen by the Mestalla brass to steady the ship over the weeks and months ahead? Javier Aguirre.

Valencia have of course spent the last week scouring the market for a new manager. After making the call to part ways with Carlos Corberán following a dismal opening to the campaign, new sporting director Braulio Vázquez set his sights firmly on the services of Ernesto Valverde.
