Otters shut out Ottawa in game one

EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – The Evansville Otters overcame a pitching duel to take game one of the Frontier League Championship series, shutting out the Ottawa Titans 6-0.

Minus a Dennis Pierce solo home run in the bottom of the first inning, it was all defense in the beginning of Tuesday's game. The Otters pitcher, Garret Simpson and the Titans pitcher, Eric Pardinho battled it out on the mound combining for a total of 16 strike outs. Simpson pitched for seven innings while giving up three hits and one walk while racking up seven K's. Pardinho ended with nine K's in six inning.
