The 2026 season returns tonight, and we'll be doing things a little bit differently when it comes to the weekly effort to predict what may happen in the upcoming slate of games.

For decades, I've had my own thoughts about who will, or won't, win in a given weekend. Thanks to the fact that my dad was a bookie, and given his incessant messaging that it's impossible for the bettor to win over the long haul, I've had no inclination to wager on games.
