Pirates Keep Saying Same Stuff, But Nothing Changes
It's getting to the point where I feel like the Pittsburgh Pirates are continuing to say the same thing over and over after every single game that doesn't go their way. The starter comes out and says they wish they could have done more to get their team a win, and Don Kelly comes out and says his team hasn't done enough offensively in the big moments.
Well, while I understand there's certainly a lot of frustration with how the team has played at times this season, I also think it's important that they simply look at what's gone wrong and try to fix it.

“Definitely a lot of positives from the way it's been going,” Keller said, per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “Just a couple pitches I would want back, obviously. ... Just not enough.”
“It's been a recurring theme,” Kelly said. “When we've been good, we've scored a lot of runs — like that last game in Colorado — we get the big base hit. We've had these chances to score and you don't get the base hit with runners in scoring position. The golden ones are with two outs."
I don't think it's fair to get too mad at these guys for coming out and saying they need to be better, since it should actually be viewed as a positive, given how poorly things have gone at times.

Perhaps I'm wrong, and I'm not saying things can't change before the deadline, but it feels like something has to happen right now, and unfortunately, the front office just isn't doing that.
