Detroit — The Detroit Pistons traded Caris LeVert and two second-round picks to the Milwaukee Bucks for forward Taurean Prince and guard Gary Harris on Tuesday evening, a source familiar with the trade negotiation confirmed to The Detroit News.

The trade between the Pistons and the Bucks was part of a six-team deal that also included the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards. The trade completed earlier deals, including Detroit's sign-and-trade acquisition of forward John Collins from the Clippers and the franchise's trade that sent center Isaiah Stewart to Memphis.

As part of the six-team deal, the Pistons traded guard Marcus Sasser to the Mavericks. The Dallas native started his career when he was selected in the first round (No. 25) of the 2023 NBA Draft and played 166 games for the Pistons, averaging 7.0 points per game over three seasons.

Sasser never found a consistent role in coach J.B. Bickerstaff's rotation after his hiring in July 2024, but he still proved productive when given the opportunity. In the 13 games where he played 15 or more minutes this season, Sasser averaged 10.3 points on 44.6% shooting from behind the arc.

By making the trade, the Pistons created a $15.0 million trade exception. LeVert appeared in 60 games during his lone season with the Pistons during the 2025-26 campaign. He averaged 7.4 points on 41.7% shooting from the field and 2.7 assists.

The Pistons acquired LeVert last summer when the veteran guard signed a two-year contract after a brief stint with the Atlanta Hawks. LeVert had a subpar tenure with the Pistons, as a handful of minor injuries hampered his on-court performance.

Despite his up-and-down performance during the regular season, LeVert helped keep Detroit competitive in their seven-game second-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he averaged 9.1 points on .489/..429/.900 shooting splits, to go along with 1.1 steals.

Harris and Prince contribute to the Pistons' ongoing effort to improve their 3-point shooting. Since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2014, Harris has shot 37.0% from behind the arc for his career. Prince, a former first-round selection in 2016, has shot 38.7% on 3-point shots for his career.
