Prep sports recap for Sept. 10, 2026

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) -- Junior Gavin Stickelmaier scored two goals and assisted on another as Notre Dame beat visiting Peoria High, 8-0, in boys soccer on Thursday.

Stickelmaier opened the scoring with a rebound goal and then assisted on Matteo Teran's goal that made it 2-0. His second goal of the game have the Irish a 4-0 lead. The Irish have won their first five games of the season.
