Princess Anne names Ladeja James as new girls basketball coach

Princess Anne High School has named Ladeja James as the next head coach of its girls basketball program, succeeding Hall of Fame coach Darnell Dozier, who is retiring after 31 seasons.

James inherits one of the most successful programs in Virginia high school basketball history. During Dozier's tenure, the Cavaliers won a Virginia High School League-record 16 state championships and compiled 793 career victories, the most by any boys or girls basketball coach in VHSL history.
